The First Deputy Speaker of the Burundian Lower Chamber of the Parliament urges members of the Legislative power to adhere to laws and regulations when handling legal cases addressed to them. She emphasizes the need to avoid discrimination and corruption in order to establish fair justice. In the same vein, she encourages local mediators to proactively address their assigned tasks, which involve resolving conflicts or addressing complaints from the population before resorting to judicial proceedings.

This proposal was put forth on Saturday, February 10, 2024, in the Murengeza hill area of the Musenyi zone in Bubanza province. On that occasion, the Honorable Sabine Ntakarutimana had joined the local community during community development work, specifically focusing on mixing sand and cement for the local zonal office pavement.

Additionally, Honorable Ntakarutimana called upon administrative authorities to frequently engage with the daily lives of the population, enabling them to understand the challenges faced and find better solutions. According to the First Vice-Speaker of the National Assembly, a good leader should be regarded as a beacon guiding the country’s development.

Furthermore, Honorable Sabine Ntakarutimana invited the population of Bubanza province to embrace the motto and vision of His Excellency, President Evariste Ndayishimiye wishing that every mouth should have food and every pocket money, including the vision for Burundi to become an emerging country by 2040 and a developed country by 2060.

Everyone, she added, must absolutely think about a development project to execute in order to materialize this vision. Thus, she emphasized, this vision cannot succeed in a situation of instability, which is why we must focus on preserving peace and security, the foundation of development, by maintaining the quadrilogy and denouncing wrongdoers to the competent authorities.

As the electoral period approaches, the First Vice-Speaker of the National Assembly asked women to participate massively and actively in development work and to ensure that they occupy positions in decision-making bodies.

These development works also saw the participation of elected parliamentarians in the Bubanza constituency, administrative authorities, and natives, to name a few. It should be noted that he governor of the said province, Cléophas Nizigiyimana, urged the population to manage agricultural production from Season A wisely and not to sell everything in the markets.
