Community development work is a major concern for the Burundian people. It is an opportunity that unites us in our diversity for the growth of the country. Hon. Sabine Ntakarutimana, First Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, expressed herself in this way to the people of Bujumbura, after the community development work carried out in Kabezi commune on January 20, 2024. These works consisted of paving and concreting the columns of the Migera market, a community project that shows the commitment of the population to economic growth.

The Honorable Sabine Ntakarutimana invited the people of Kabezi to devote their efforts to self-development work in families, one of the conditions for achieving the 2040-2060 vision. She also encouraged the population to protect the environment by planting trees to prevent runoff, which is often observed in their province.

Agriculture and livestock being the sectors driving economic growth in Burundi, the Honorable First Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly sensitized the people of Bujumbura to work hard in these sectors in order to increase production, which must first materialize in households. The commune collects taxes that help to the economic growth of the country in general.

Who says development says peace and security. Hon. Sabine Ntakarutimana therefore called for the preservation of peace and security, especially to get rid of rumors that are spreading on social networks in this pre-election period of 2025.

Before concluding her speech, she declared that she would submit to the competent authorities the grievances expressed by the Governor and the Administrator to grant them drinking water, electricity, and roads in their province.
