The education of children as future leaders is one of the conditions for achieving the 2040-2060 vision. The Honorable Sabine Ntakarutimana, First Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, expressed this on Saturday, November 25, 2023, to the population of Mwaro, after the community works carried out in the Rusaka commune. These works consisted of paving the classrooms of ECOFO Makamba in extension.
This community project to build this school shows the commitment of the population to ensure education for all children, one of the conditions that will materialize the 2040-2060 vision. Teachers are therefore called upon to dedicate their efforts to it. Teaching is not only about delivering lessons, but also about instilling good moral values from our ancestors, while leading by example, added the Honorable Sabine Ntakarutimana.
Agriculture and livestock being the driving sectors of economic growth in Burundi, the Honorable First Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly sensitized the population of Mwaro to engage in them diligently. Everyone must combine their efforts to increase production, which must first materialize in households, at the hill level, and ultimately at the national level. Agricultural production also requires the protection of the environment through reforestation of bare hills, especially during this rainy season. Development implies peace and security. Therefore, the Honorable Sabine Ntakarutimana called for the preservation of peace and security, especially during this end-of-year period.
