Bringing the world together for global change starts with educating children
Numerous guests from around the world were also present, including Presidents of Supreme Courts and justice professionals. Each of them contributed by proposing ideas for the establishment of institutions to protect children. These ideas were shared and discussed to find concrete and effective solutions. It is essential to highlight that these proposals were still at a conceptual stage, but the commitment and willingness of all participants were evident. The protection of children is a top priority, and this meeting highlighted the importance of working together to ensure their well-being and safety. The discussions were diverse, with different perspectives from various countries and judicial systems. This diversity enriched the conversations and promoted a comprehensive and inclusive approach. The participants also emphasized the importance of international cooperation in combating violence against children and expressed their willingness to strengthen collaborations between countries. The Speaker of the National Assembly of Burundi, Right Honorable Gelase Daniel Ndabirabe, responded to students’ questions by emphasizing that educating children is the starting point to unite the world for global change. He also mentioned that Burundi has already implemented a program that provides free access to basic education and healthcare for children under 5 years old.
At the end of that International Conference, the Gandhi family met with the delegation from the National Assembly of Burundi, who had participated in that event on November 3, 2023, in Lucknow, India. It is important to note that Dr. Jagdish Gandhi is the founder of City Montessori School, which organized this conference. At the end of this conference, the honorary participants issued and signed a resolution containing conceptual ideas to unite the world, protect children, and create a peaceful global government for all. |
