The Second Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, the Honorable Abel Gashatsi, gave a helping hand to community development work focusing on the cleaning of gutters on both sides of the road located in the Il de la colline social district and Cibitoke zone in the Rugombo commune of Cibitoke province. The Governor of the Cibitoke province, Col. of Police Carême Bizoza, was delighted by the presence of the Honorable Second Deputy Speaker of the Lower Chamber of the Burundi Parliament at the above-mentioned works. He pointed out that the gutters were completely blocked, to the extent that traffic during the approaching rainy season would be virtually impossible. For this reason, the administration has decided to concentrate all its efforts on cleaning them out. The Second Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly also invited the population of Cibitoke province to remain serene and vigilant in safeguarding peace and security, given that the province shares the border with Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, which are currently hostile countries.
