"God loves us so much. He loves Burundi; in other words, Burundians are well and truly loved by the Supreme Being. Moreover, our country is refurbishing its image internationally and this is demonstrated through the visits of distinguished guests recorded", confirmed the Speaker of the National Assembly, Rt. Hon. Gelase Daniel Ndabirabe, during the Sunday prayer he shared on May 7, 2023 with the Christians of "Eglise du Rocher de Bujumbura S.S.I.". He was accompanied by an MP elected in Bujumbura Mayorship constituency

Based on the preaching of the day taken from the Bible in John 3:16 stipulating that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son so that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life, Rt. Hon. Gelase Daniel Ndabirabe mentioned that God’s love is infinite, limitless. "What God recommends us is to love one another as he has loved us", he said while asking the question of what thing of great value each individual can sacrifice for his neighbor as God has manifested in giving his only son. The answer is already there, it is forgiveness, he added while calling on every Christian to forgive his neighbor as Christ did on the cross saying "Father forgive them for they do not know what they are doing". It is also well indicated in the "Lord’s Prayer" where we say: "Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us", added the Speaker of the Lower Chamber of Parliament. He called on anyone who has any information about the crises that have plunged the country into mourning to deliver it to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission so that the reality can be brought to light.

The preacher of the day, Pastor Ferdinand Nduwindavyi, insinuated that God’s love is unconditional; it is not based on carnal possessions such as beauty, wealth, intelligence, ethnicity... It is rather unlimited love and as a result of this love, God acts in all circumstances of the human being’s life. Therefore, man is a being well loved by the God who is omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient. Which mean that the one who lives this limitless love does not show jealousy, melancholy towards his neighbor; he is rather characterized by joy, cheerfulness and God opens the door to other horizons. He gains sympathy, strength and power. The love of God also establishes change," concluded Pastor Nduwindavyi.
