On Monday February 13, 2023, the Speaker of the National Assembly the Right Honorable Gelase Daniel Ndabirabe received in audience a delegation of Austrian parliamentarians led by the Honorable Axel Kassegger. They came within the context of strengthening parliamentary diplomacy between Austria and Burundi.

In their exchanges, many points of similarity were observed between the Parliaments of the two countries, which will allow much more rapprochement through the creation of friendship groups through which will be strengthened the parliamentary diplomacy.

It was also an opportunity for the Austrian parliamentary delegation to visit the buildings in which the Burundian Parliament works, including the hemicycle and the international conference room of the National Assembly, which is being finished.
