The scourge of corruption observed among some magistrates is dreadfully poisoning the society. This is explained by complaints and scandals linked to the settlement of conflicts, particularly land conflicts, since most cases are pending in court are peculiar to land conflicts. It is obvious that if nothing is done, a resurgence of insecurity is likely to emerge.
What is woeful is that all these infractions occur despite the good structure of the judiciary system which also has very specific legal texts. Indeed, we observe corrupt magistrates with bad intention who render false, influenced or biased judgments as a result of bribes. Everyone is fed up. Faced with this confusion, all branches of government must be involved in fighting this doleful practice, as well as civil society, the media and the private sector.
It is in this context that the public authorities have stood up as one against the injustice against citizens, especially the poorest. His Excellency the President of the Republic and the Right Honorable President of the National Assembly continuously raise their voices against this judicial barbarity. Thus, a call to order for 6 months was launched to the magistrates by His Excellency the President of the Republic to pull themselves together.
During the parliamentary recess of July 2021, the Right Honorable Speaker of the National Assembly constantly launched call to order on the behalf of these bribed magistrates so that they become aware of their role in reconciling different antagonists instead of dividing them. The Right Honorable Gelase Daniel Ndabirabe invite them to work as patriots rather than using unfair manipulation contrary to virtue and the fundamental vision of the rule of law for their own interests.
