After the presentation of the parliamentary recess report, the Speaker of the National Assembly, the Right Honorable Gelase Daniel Ndabirabe announced, in his speech , the program of the Ordinary Parliamentary Session of August 2021 which was launched on Monday, August 2, 2021 at the Hemicycle of Kigobe Congress Palace.

A total of 14 Bills have been sent by the Government to the National Assembly for analysis and adoption. In addition, the Lower House of Burundian Parliament, which urges the Government to clean up the justice sector, supports the demolition of anarchic constructions and buildings erected in green spaces. However, it implores the Ministry of Home Affairs to keep-an-eye-on possible eventual abuses.

Besides the members of the Government, other important personalities also took part in the ceremonies. These included the President of the Supreme Court, men in uniform and representatives of the diplomatic and consular corps accredited to Gitega.
