Zero unexploited fields: one of the methods for implementing the vision of His Excellency Evariste Ndayishimiye

The Honorable Abel Gashatsi, 2nd Vice-Speaker of the National Assembly, calls on the people of Muramvya Province to embrace community development work as their driving force for development, regardless of their political affiliations, especially as this market will benefit everyone. He therefore urges the population to show strict respect for their leaders in all matters, and to respond massively to their calls whenever necessary.

On Saturday February 10, 2024, the Honorable Abel Gashatsi, Second Vice-Speaker of the National Assembly, joined the population of Colline Mubira, in the Shombo zone of the Commune and Province of Muramvya, in community development work consisting of concreting the market’s lower chain-link and collecting rubble to ensure the continuity of ongoing construction activities in that village.

In his speech, he also advocated limiting births, highlighting overpopulation as a negative factor in development.

He took the opportunity to ask students to study hard so that the country will have successors in the time to come, reminding them that these successors are commonly known as Burundi bw’ejo.

The Muramvya Province, considered one of the provinces whose population is renowned for being at the forefront of cattle theft, Honorable Abel Gashatsi advised them to eradicate this scourge and engage in beneficial activities to increase production during the upcoming agricultural Season B. He also advocates for the utilization of all available land in every locality within the province.

The Honorable Abel Gashatsi closed his speech by suggesting a monthly self-assessment by each and every one of us, in order to face up to the challenges we’ve encountered and decide on new development strategies to fulfill the wish of His Excellency Evariste Ndayishimiye, President of the Republic, who stipulates: "May every mouth have food and every pocket money".
