The First Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Honorable Sabine Ntakarutimana, joined the population of Ntahangwa commune in Bujumbura Mayorship, Saturday April 1, 2023, in the community development work that took place at the construction site of Gihosha Vocational Training Centre.
The activity falls in line with the implementation of the recommendation made by His Excellency, the President of the Republic, who calls all authorities of the country to make visits every Saturday to assist the population in community development work.
This Saturday’s work involved concreting the slab of the first floor of that building, which will be three floors high. Even if the work is at the level of the first slab, the Mayor of the City reassured: This site will be completed in only 4 months, to allow its opening with the next school year in the coming September.
Relaying the message of His Excellency Evariste Ndayishimiye, President of the Republic, to attend the community work every Saturday, the Honorable Sabine Ntakarutimana invited the population of Bujumbura Mayorship to redouble their efforts in participating much more in it.
The public infrastructures built during the community work benefit the whole population without distinction. Hence the participation of everyone must be required.
Peace and security being the foundation of development, the Honorable First Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly asked the population living in Bujumbura city to safeguard peace and security by strengthening the quadrilogy.
"You must always think about keeping your city clean," she added. "Indeed, efforts to clean up the city are visible, do more." In conclusion, Hon. Sabine Ntakarutimana invited the population to show solidarity among neighbors during this period of Lent as we are preparing to celebrate the Easter.
